Canton Palace: the most central building in town. Built around the XV, renovated over the years, it still preserves its ancient and historical beauty. A unique location for you to embrace the pulsing yet serene life of the city of downtown Bologna! The Canton de' Fiori loft is full of light, giving the 3 mt window and predominant white and light grey colors. This fully furnished space is located on the 2 floor (lift available) of one of the oldest medieval building of the city. It is a very intimate space, quiet but right in the pulsing centre of the medieval town. The condo is very well organized and provides a doorman service during all working hours. Canton de’ Fiori apartments are composed by a very comfortable kitchen and dining room area, a bathroom with shower and a loft space as a bedroom. The view amazing view of the characteristic red roofs of Bologna from the window is one of the thing I like the most -especially in the morning. Maps of the city, events and many useful information to truly enjoy the city will be provided to every guest. The most famous coffee bar in Bologna is located right around corner of the building, and takes the name of it(canton de fiori)

Bologna’s historic centre has been beautifully maintained, its original Roman street plan still discernable today. The best way to explore the city is on foot, and every monuments or sites worthseeing is walkable from my apartment. taking time to admire the architecture and digest the wonderful food that you’re sure to find right outside the door. Piazza Maggiore is located at the very centre of Bologna. In the past the square underwent many changes and was further enriched with important buildings: Basilica di San Petronio, Palazzo dei Notai, Palazzo d'Accursio, Palazzo del Podestà and Palazzo dei Bianchi. It was built where once there was just a grassy area. The Municipality of Bologna decided to have it built in order to homage the importance of the city and at the same time to gather all the city activities (commerce, trade, etc). Originally, the square came to be known as curia Communis or platea Communis, and during the 16th century it was given its current name for the first time. From the expulsion of the Austrian army to 1944, it was named after the King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II. So, just after 1945 it was given its final and current name: Piazza Maggiore.
