Enjoy the stunning landscape of Abruzzo at this unique and tranquil getaway in central Italy. It is situated in the historic hilltop village of Pennadomo, at the foot of the Apennine mountains, but only 45 minutes drive from the Adriatic Coast. It has a magnificent balcony view and is a lovely newly renovated open plan space so it's ideal for either a couple or single person. Please note that it's a 'studio apartment' with a sofabed for use at night (i.e. there is no separate bedroom but 'studio apartment' is not a category that this letting company provides for). Therefore, the lounge area converts into the bedroom space at night with a comfortable and easy to convert double sofabed.

Pennadomo is a beautiful hilltop town at an amazing location in the province of Chieti in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It sits at the base of the Apennine Mountains and is 450m above sea level, surrounded by mountains and a beautiful rural landscape. It is built on the side of a magnificent rock and has magnificent views within the village and throughout the surrounding area. Pennadomo itself has a small cafe, village shop and post office, and a larger seasonal outdoor cafe. There is Lake Bomba below the village and the town of Torricella Peligna with shops and a cafe 10-15 minutes drive up the hill. The largest large town is Lanciano, about 30 minutes drive (40km) away. It has all facilities and the capital of Chieti. There is a covered open air restaurant (open during the summer months) called Chiringuito Blue on Via Maiella about 250m from my house. Apart from that, the closest restaurants at Torricella Peligna and Roccascalenga, both about 10km or 15-20 mins drive away. the closest large supermarket is at Eurospin at Piani DArchi, again about 20 minutes drive away, although the village shop will do for most purposes during your stay.
