I live in the main house, not far from the barn, transformed into a home, which is part of the five apartments that make up the Poggio la Fioraia farmhouse. I like gardening, I am passionate about books, classical music, art and antique furniture. I love my privacy very much and always respect that of my guests. Poggio la Fioraia farmhouse is located on the hill, therefore is always very airy and pleasant. The houses are very cool even during the hottest days. For this there we do not need for air conditioning. All housing have independent entrance and a space in front/next to the house where it is possible to have lunch or relax outdoors, with garden table and chairs for exclusive use. There are also common areas (not exclusive) such as the gardens and the large terracotta terraced area, for dining, reading or relaxing outdoors, under the shade of a wisteria pergola. All guests have (NON-exclusive) access to an infinity pool, deckchairs and sun loungers. Parking is free in specially marked areas, not far from the houses. Free services (on request for limited availability): - Baby cot for 0/2 years old and sheets. - High chair. Poggio La Fioraia has an excellent location if you want to tour our Tuscany and have a stay away from the chaos of the cities.

Poggio La Fioraia is located on the hills of Vecchiano, between Pisa and Lucca, just above the Filettole castle, and enjoys a splendid view over the wide valley of the Serchio and the Pisan Mountains, in the middle of a tourist area very rich in attractions, it is a perfect base for day trips to discover Tuscany. It is an estate of about 18 hectares, characterized by gently rolling hills, with cliffs with olive trees, with oak, poplar and pine forests, where it is possible to take pleasant walks in unspoiled nature. It is committed to protecting the natural environment that surrounds it and minimizing the environmental impact and is attentive to the principles of the green economy and eco-sustainability. It is equipped with a photovoltaic system for the production of electricity, an artesian well and a large reservoir for collecting rainwater. Day-to-day shopping, such as for groceries and newspapers, can be done in the local village of Filettole, about 5 minutes away on foot. Large stores and supermarkets can be found in Pontasserchio, as you go into Pisa or Viareggio, between 5 and 15 km away. The Post Office at Filettole is open on weekdays. The nearest banks are at Pontasserchio and Vecchiano, only 6 km away from Filettole. There is a handy token-operated laundrette in the market square in Pontasserchio. Also perfect for those interested in the Lucca Summer Festival and/or for the Puccini Festival. From Poggio La Fioraia you can reach: GIULIANO TERME 15 minutes by car. PISA, only 25 minutes’ drive away. LUCCA, only 15 km away. VIAREGGIO and FORTE DEI MARMI, are half an hour by car. For those wishing to immerse themselves in the countryside there are lovely outdoor walks at LAGO DI MASSACIUCCOLI, the lake that acted as an inspiration for the composer Puccini. MARINA DI VECCHIANO, with its dune-crowned beach, is situated in the protected area of the Migliarino–S. Rossore–Massaciuccoli Nature Reserve Also perfect for those interested in the Lucca Summer Festival.
