Dating back to 1828, this family-run farm in West Iceland offers bright rooms with country-style décor. Facilities include a guest kitchen, TV lounge and terrace with outdoor hot tub. Hraunfossar’s waterfalls are 15 km away. Guesthouse Steindórsstadir, West Iceland's rooms offer views of the mountains, countryside or Eirïksjökull and Okjökull glaciers. Two shared bathrooms with modern facilities are found in the hallways. Free tea/coffee is available in the communal kitchen, which has full cooking facilities. Breakfast is also served there. The lounge has a TV, CD player and sofa. Steindórsstadir Guesthouse is 2 km outside Reykholt and a 30-minute drive from Borgarnes. Parking is free on site.

Steindórsstaðir is farm that has been owned by the same family since the 17th century . We started farming here in 1988 and did live mainly with cows , 30 cows , but since 2016 we only have 50 sheep and 4 horses . Here are also 2 dogs. Then we also grow tree, forest in about 30 hekter. Steindorsstadir is in the vest part of Iceland, about 40 km from Borgarnes, 2km from Reykholt in vest Iceland.

Rauðsgil is on our property and it is nice to hike on our side of the canyon to the waterfalls. Hraunfossar, Húsafell, Langjökull (in to the glacier), Surtshellir, Reykholt, Sturlureykir horsefarm, Krauma bathcenter and Deildartunguhver, all this place is in our vicinity
