All I want for my vacation is a spacious and clean place, with a terrace, new furniture, good beds, cosy bedding and comfortable mattresses, super equipped kitchen, loads of sunlight and absolutely amazing views of the bay and the sea. I want a quiet and peaceful area to unwind, relax and enjoy a glass of wine at the end of my day. A garage, fireplace, floor heating, air conditioning - why not? I want the sea at walking distance and a forest nearby to cool down. Sounds good?

Our place is located in the area of town called Pobri, which is 2.5 kilometres from the centre of Opatija and just above the village Volosko (10-15 minute walk downhill). It is a residential area and our building is at the end of a dead end street. Our building is one of three new buildings there. Ours and the one behind it have been finished in 2018 and the smallest one, on our eastern side (which you can see from behind on one of the pictures showing our garage) has been finished in Spring 2019. As for Opatija, it is a good year round destination, offering a mild mediterranean climate. A fashionable tourist resort in the 19th century, it's dotted with Habsburg-era villas and famous for a promenade ('lungomare') by the sea stretching for 12km between the villages of Volosko and Lovran. The forest near our house is great for hiking offering amazing views of the Kvarner region. The region is well known for high quality medical care in various private medical institutions. Public transport (bus) 5 min away. Affordable taxi and Uber. Good to have a car to explore the region.
