Known in ancient times as Astiniaum, today Štitnjan is located at the southwestern end of Istria, in the immediate vicinity of Pula, on the hills above the Pula Bay. While you are sightseeing Štinjan, visit the parish church of St. Margarite, "Šaliž" street, Turulu hill, Cristo fort on the Proština peninsula, the remains of an ancient bathhouse with a mosaic on the floor in the Žunac bay and Cape Guc. The central beaches and surrounding smaller bays are also suitable for small children, so you can go swimming without worry.
