The town of Kastela is located on the coast of the Bay of Kastela. The town is specific because it developed around 7 settlements or around castles. Kaštel Gomilica is the second of 7 "kastels". During the summer season the life in Kastela gets lively and busy with folk festivities and concerts organized. So if you are looking for a vacation spot that can offer you all the aspects of an active holiday this would be your spot. From here you can take organized group or private car excursions or private car transfers to visit the nearby old towns of Trogir and Split, and the archaeological site of the ancient Salona or if you are a nature lover then head to the National Parks Krka and Plitvice. For a trip to the National Park Kornati there are private or group boat excursions on a daily basis, or you can hire a private boat transfer. We recommend Kastela for a family vacation, and the vicinity of Split, the tourist metropolis of Central Dalmatia, and Trogir, medieval pearl guarantee all kinds of fun and numerous historical and interesting places where you can go during the day or in the evening.
