In a pure and wild coast of Crete, we have The Old Bus-residence and its Art Studio, next to the sea, overlooking the horizon from sunrise to sunset. Suitable for travelers who are looking for something magical, who want to connect to themselves and the land, this IS the place! Away of city's noises, in nature's harmony, you feel peace. As there is really nothing around but nature, sea, sky and imposing rocky hills, it really offers a space to simply 'be', watch the stars, be quiet and connect. The Bus is in northern coastline of Crete, just an hour and ten minutes drive from the Heraklion Airport, 57km. At the last 12km the road is narrow with turns through the hills till the last village. Then a winding narrow road unfolds from the hills to the sea and the view from there is breathtaking. From high you can see down the secluded beaches, clear waters, stunning view. Simple cars drive easy on this road. The bus is a piece of art, the space is big, clean and bright. Connected with internal entrance (you go through a window of the Bus) is an elevated room - studio, with panoramic view over the sea, which can be used for yoga, meditation, writing etc. The art studio is an airy and bright room, with glass around and two large windows for fresh sea air. There are unique artworks there, a table, chairs, a long bench - table to work on and a comfort bed - sofa where you can relax and observe in night the starry sky (there is no electric lighting in the whole area, only the cities lights far far away on the coastline). Also at night you can create a very romantic atmosphere with the "Fairy's lights" that adorn this room. There is seating area in front of the sea (North site), down of the elevated studio. Seating area and hammocks overlooking the sea, in South site, outdoor of the Bus, near kitchen area. Next to the outdoor kitchen there is a small toilet with shower. There is no electricity supply network in the area. To cover your needs, we have solar panels.

On your arrival day we will be in touch and I will guide you about your supplies, route and whatever. Your need is precious for us. Many of the materials we use for our constructions and the Old Bus' furniture are collected from the seashore. We create artworks with imagination and always connected our creations with dreamy worlds. Here there are no shops and markets, only nature and vastness. The closest town for your supplies is Neapoli at 17 km, the road from Neapoli to The Old Bus is narrow with turns and it's about 38 minutes driving. You are on an open sea, on a rocky shore with many beauties and healthy fresh air from the sea. If you love the adventure, to be quiet in silence, to sleep with the sound of the sea and watch the stars out of your bed window. If you love spirituality and looking for magic you are on the right place. The Old Bus is a unique accommodation for those who want to disconnected of the systemic world and routine and to live an experience in a different daily life in an equipped "hideaway" in nature for retreat. Who want to be out of time in the vastness of the sea and the sky... and looking for harmony in nature. The place is wild and pure, with clear sea. The beach has stones and rocks. There is a small pebbly creek just below the bus which has very easy access to swimming. Also a short walk, on the road, has a pebbly cove! And with little climbing you will find a unique cove, for a deserted swimming! In around 15' minutes walking there is a unique wild natural pool on a rocky shore. This wild natural pool is the best when you can't swim anywhere else because of waves... There some big rocks create a protective wall of the waves. So, the rocks circling a part of the sea on the shore and there always the sea is calm. With great pleasure we will show you this land, walking!!! A little further of the Bus (5 minutes walking), on the wildest coast, at the east, there is a beautiful gorge. In the gorge there are two small caves. At the end of the gorge, over imposing rocks, an amazing and powerful seaside viewpoint. Right there there is a hidden cove with pebbles, for those who love climbing can enjoy there the most secluded swimming. At the small village Kounali you can eat in a very good tavern, it is 8 km, 17 minutes from the Bus. You need to have car for this.
