The picturesque village of Kariotes is excellently situated between Lefkada town and Nidri, two of the more popular places on the island, both offering unique experiences. From here there is access to some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. Kariotes itself is a short distance to some of the more traditional villages, including the close by historic fisherman village of Liggia. A trip to the village of Nidri is a must for activities. Take an excursion on one of the tourist boats and spend a day exploring other islands in the Ionian Sea. Delve further and discover the little island of Meganisi or consider seeing the famous Scorpios island, owned by the prominent Onassis family. Kariotes acts as a delightful base on the island for both an adventurous nightlife, as well as the ideal place to relax.
