The property is perfectly situated in a very safe area in eastern Crete directly on shore /beach (round pebbles) in the Gulf of Mirambello, exactly opposite of the marvellous antique Venetian fortress of Spinalonga ('The Island') directly beside the old fishers village of Plaka. The village with his unique Cafes and Fish taverns is a short stroll on the road behind the beach away from the property. A bus-stop is close. The small main village of Elounda is by bus less than 10 min away, the slightly larger pitoresque town of Agios Nicolaos with its unique lake and shopping streets about 25 min. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE DIFFERENT RATES ACCORDING TO THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE. IF YOU RENT FOR UP TO 6 PEOPLE YOU RENT THE 3 BEDROOMS IN THE MAINFLOOR, NOT THE BEDROOMS IN THE GROUND FLOOR. THE NUMBER OF RENTED BEDROOMS IN THE GROUND FLOOR ARE CALCULATED FOR 2 PERSONS PER BEDROOM.

Located directly above and on a beach on one of the most famously beautiful parts of Crete’s coast - the Gulf of Mirabello - the light and shades of blue changing with the hours of the day. It would be hard to be closer to the sea or in a more relaxing spot. The beach itself is a long and pretty curve of pebbles, with natural shade from tamarind trees. Just across the water lies the deserted island of Spinalonga with its poignant history and atmospheric ruins and from Plaka’s small harbour it is possible to join a boat to explore the island or hire one for pottering up and down the coast. Plaka also has shops and good tavernas serving fish and other Greek specialities. The walking distance between the properties and the village is less than 5 minutes along the road behind the beach. The village and complete area is a very safe place, far away from any large city. The less than 200 inhabitants that almost all live of fishing or tourism.
