Kalamos is a small village by the sea, 6 kilometers from Argalasti and 46 km from Volos. It is a sleepy village that stretches along two bays, the first a long ribbon of pebbled beach, the second more of a natural harbour. The water is marvelously clear and inviting and one cannot help but spend endless hours in it. You can make long distance trips to explore Pelion's secret's. Marvellous beaches and breathtaking nature is every where around this place. The months of July and August are the warmest. The daily temperature averaging 29°C. The sea is 21°C until the end of October because it has been soaked by the sun throughout the summer months. Even in springtime, the temperature is above 20°C and there are 10 hours of sunshine. In September and October the scenery is very colourful with pleasant temperatures. As the climate is so temperate each season has its own blooming flowers and plants.
