Hi, I'm Fivos – born and raised in Greece, living in Athens after studying in the U.S., where I completed both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees. I am an entrepreneur since 2001 and I own two technology companies. I'm excited to be hosting for the first time and sharing a place that’s truly special to me.
"Brown On Green" house in Drapanias, has deep roots in my family – it was built by my grandfather, and my father was born there. It’s far more than just a place to stay; it’s a piece of my personal history, and I wanted to offer it to travelers looking for something real, warm, and unique — not just another standard house experience.
My wonderful co-host Maria, born and raised in Crete, lives in the area and brings years of experience in the tourism industry. She speaks fluent Greek and English and is always nearby to assist you with anything you need — from tips on hidden beaches to local food spots — while still respecting your privacy she will be just a call or a text message away.
We believe that a great stay should feel welcoming, comfortable, and personal. Our goal is to offer a relaxing atmosphere that feels both authentic and memorable — just like the kind of boutique stays I personally love when I travel.
We look forward to hosting you and helping you enjoy the very best of Crete.

A Touch of History...
The house is located in the ancient area once known as Mythimna, a historically rich region that dates back to Minoan and Classical times. Archaeological finds in the broader Kissamos area reveal a past filled with ancient settlements, Roman villas, and early Christian basilicas.
Surrounded by olive groves and natural beauty, you’ll be staying in a place where centuries of Cretan life have unfolded—making your stay not just a getaway, but a step into living history.
Right next to "Brown on Green", you’ll find the ruins of the former Venetian governor’s headquarters, courthouse, and jail, along with a stone water well from that era—its original mechanism still functional to this day.
This hidden gem of Crete’s Venetian past offers a rare glimpse into local governance and justice of the time.
