Alkionides is composed of seven quaint studios within a 30,000m² estate where goats, chickens and cows graze freely. Our unique studios situated above the old harbour on Koufonisi, are perched on a hill top with a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding islands. Alkionides is an ideal escape destination for people of all ages who want to experience a quiet part of Koufonisi where the impressive views of sunrises, sunsets, moonrises and starry nights are extraordinary.
Giannis Prassinos is the soul of Alkionides Studios and Ouzerie/Restaurant Karnagio. A unique person, who without many words will speak to your soul. If you really want it, he will become a good friend for years to come. You will not forget him when you leave and you’ll want to come back to meet him again. You do not know exactly why but maybe it’s because he is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet.
Koufonisi is the island for a perfect vacation. Emerald coloured waters to be cherished all winter, sandy beaches resembling exotic destinations, rocky beaches with vibrant sea life to explore and hospitable people who make you feel at home. Koufonisi is unpretentious, relaxed and friendly. It is an ideal destination for groups, couples, families and individuals who want to experience another pace, holidays geared for relaxation.
