My family home is in the pretty riverside village of Polruan at the mouth of the Fowey estuary looking out to sea. A short walk downhill will bring you to the Quayside. I offer every comfort for a memorable stay with plenty of space to relax and free car parking. Enjoy the breakfast I provide with harbour views. I usually only let the king room with private bathroom but please ask if you would like additional rooms. I share my home with 2 friendly cats who like making new friends if you wish! Finally I am delighted to share that I have received a 2023 Travellers Review Award from Booking DC!
I love meeting new people and hosting provides me with the opportunity to do just that. I enjoy cooking, gardening, watching a good film, reading with a chilled glass of white wine; I enjoy walking and living in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty means I'm spoilt for choice as I can enjoy coastal walks as I'm less than 5 minutes from the Cornish Coastal Path; river walks along the Fowey through pretty woodland and countryside walks too. Living by the river and sea at the mouth of the Fowey estuary there are a variety of water based activities to enjoy too.
Living on the Fowey estuary means the towns of Looe and Polperro are within a few miles, there are many beautiful places to visit from a variety of beaches, coarse fishing lakes and shark trips from Looe. The Eden Project is just over 10 miles from here. Further afield there many historical buildings including Castles, St Michaels Mount at Marazion is a favourite and Tintagel, the birthplace of King Arthur is another; the Minack Theatre is staggeringly beautiful and is carved out of the rock face at Porthcurno, tin mines aplenty, Lands End too and many, many more.
