Parkend is between 22 and 28 Bridge Street. The top of the arch is carved ‘Parkend’ but it is not obvious. Number 3 is through the second arch. The keys will be in a key box next to the door, so you can arrive at any time and make yourself at home. Directions can be provided if required.
Penicuik was historically well known for its paper mills. The apartment is in Park End a building designed by architect Thomas Frederick Pilkerton in 1862. It became known as the Nunnery, as it was used to house young female employees of the mills and is a building of historic interest.

The owners of the property are Darrin and Sheena Borthwick. They live locally and if there is anything you need to know, or if there is anything they can do, just ask, they’d be happy to help.
