The pier and beach are also less than 200 yards from the door. Down the coast from Porth Hir is Penmon for more historic jaunts – visit Penmon Priory. Or head in the other direction and find Plas Newydd, a National Trust gem or Plas Cadnant gardens – an amazing space for plant fans. For those after a less sedate day, Rib Ride is an adrenaline adventure down the Menai Strait or Stan offers colourful boating tours on his Starida Puffin Island Cruises and sea fishing.
