The ruins of Old Inverlochy Castle are a two minute walk away , beside which you can see local anglers catching salmon or stand on the footbridge as the Jacobite ( or Hogwarts ) express thunders by only ten metres distant . The world famous Ben Nevis Distillery is a three minute walk away - no worries about driving! M& S is just upthe road a short distance next to Aldi and Home bargains for all your shopping needs .Buses to and from Fort William and those going to Skye and Inverness stop for you literally at the bottom of our drive .
Adrian and John the two owners of Inverlochy Villas have just built four “ pods” in the grounds of Inverlochy Villas . Each one is situated on a broad island of decking to sit and chat , have a glass of wine or just drink in the magnificence of Ben Nevis . Each of the “ Shielings “ ( a n old Scots name for a mountain shepherd’s hut is self contained , fully en suite and made from 100% sustainable products . They are double glazed and insulated with Wi-fi , com I smart TVs , kettle toaster microwave , mini fridge , hairdrier tea and coffee cutlery and crockery . There will be white towels and bedding supplied - all you need bring is yourself and take only memories and photographs .
The Shielings are situated 1.7 miles from Fort William in a quiet residential are just off the A82 . Mountain and river walks are on the doorstep . One of our local hotels only a few minutes walk distant had live Scottish music regularly each week and you will be welcome . Our guests can take out a day membership in the gym and spa here for a few pounds .
