The Seagate is a 17th-century hotel situated in the village of Appledore, overlooking the Torridge estuary. It offers bed and breakfast accommodation in individually furnished rooms, with the inn serving real ale and cider alongside an extensive food menu with local seafood specialities. Each room features a hair dryer, a flat screen TV, cotton sheets and tea/coffee making facilities. Some rooms include a sea view and a seating area. Some rooms are located in the main building, and others are located in a new development nearby, a 2-minute walk away. A full English breakfast is offered alongside fresh fruit, cereal and fresh orange juice. The property features a bar and restaurant which serves lunch and dinner daily. The menu features a wide variety of fresh fish. The full menu is available throughout the inn and on the front and rear terraces, overlooking the estuary. Within around 10 minutes’ drive, you can visit the port of Bideford, and the beaches of Instow and Westward Ho.
