Set in Leicestershire countryside, in picturesque Lyddington, The Marquess of Exeter is a historic country inn with a traditional restaurant. The inn offers cosy log fires, leafy gardens and period features. The bright and airy bedrooms feature crisp linens and free Wi-Fi access. All of the luxury, 4-star rooms have a private modern bathroom and tea/coffee facilities, and some have scenic views across the gardens. With a daily-changing menu, the restaurant serves fine British cuisine using fresh, seasonal produce. The bar features exposed beams and stone walls, and offers a range of cask ales, fine wines and full english breakfasts. Just a 15-minute drive from Rutland Water, Marquess of Exeter is a 40-minute drive from the historical cities of Leicester and Peterborough. There is free on-site parking and the A1 road is a 20-minute drive away.

United Kingdom“We ate dinner as a group. The menu was a mix of Asian and traditional British. The food was all lovely as was our breakfast the following day. The location of the Marquess of Exeter is splendid, in the centre of a very pretty and quiet village.”
