In the heart of the historic village of Laxton, Dovestays is a charming traditional inn offering fine food and rooms that are spacious and full of character. Wi-fi is free. The food served at The Dovecote is home-cooked and made using fine local ingredients. Guests can enjoy wholesome dishes as well as lighter snacks and a continental breakfast is served in the room. There is also a selection of ales, beers and fine wines. The bedrooms are located in a barn conversion, with a private entrance, original beams and views over the barn's garden. Amenities include a bowl of fresh fruit and a flat-screen TV. A toaster and fresh bread are also provided in each room. Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood, is a 15 minutes’ drive from Dovestays and Nottingham can be reached in 45 minutes by car.

(Please see our website for up to date opening times & food service times) There are limited service times on Sundays currently we take our last bookings at 4pm. We also have a closed period on weekdays between 3 & 5:30 - however check in is available throughout the day.
