This house has been our holiday home for nearly two decades. We know the area well, the people who live here and what’s available. We’ve never tired of Milford on Sea, there are a lot of activities locally to choose from depending on your age, fitness and interests. Or you can just chill out in the multiple bars, pubs, restaurants and coffee shops in and around the village. We recommend the Needles Eye café on the sea front for breakfast – a great way to start the day. Keyhaven is a great destination for nature lovers, boating and paddle boarding; Bournemouth has miles and miles of sandy beaches; The New Forest is perfect for cyclists and walkers. The scenery is spectacular with the New Forest ponies roaming wild everywhere. Milford, for one of the best swims on the south coast, was voted 5th in The Times & Sunday Times Best UK Beaches Guide 2025, the Isle of Wight and the Needles in the background. Sporting activities along the coastline include windsurfing, hang gliding, fishing and sailing. In fact, if it requires wind propulsion then you’ll find it available somewhere. Our grandchildren are now all grown up, but they still remember chasing the sunset after dinner.
