Southsea Royale Studio is a newly designed apartment only 200 metres from Southsea seafront, the Pier & the trendy Beach Cafe. Strongly influenced by James Bond, it was allegedly the home of Sean Connery from 1947 to 1949. It certainly has A License to Thrill & has original memorabilia including mannequins, movie posters & several items from the James Bond recording studio at Pinewood. New items are being regularly added. It comprises a seven foot bed and offers views over the Canoe Lake, towards the sea. It has a 55in tv, with cable, Netflix and & Amazon & Wifi. There is a parking space outside the property. Tea, nespresso coffee machine, milk, bubbly & fridge provided. With high ceilings, lots of natural light an iconic location, the 007 touches you will feel just like a secret agent. It was ranked as No.1 Air BnB for best reviews and lowest prices in Hampshire in 2022 and in the top 10 in England out of over 27000 properties. Please note that it is a penthouse apartment & is accessible by two flights of stairs.

During the lockdown, myself and my wife Marilyn embarked on a project to create a unique boutique studio, to offer a sense of fun and glamour and recreate the Bond era. We sourced items from many sources including Pinewood studios and Christie's auction house. We live locally and are usually on hand to ensure that you have a very enjoyable stay. We also have an excellent housekeeper and a locally based maintenance manager.

The James Bond studio overlooks the Canoe Lake and is very close to South Parade Pier, Southsea Beach Cafe & the award winning Restaurant 27. There is a large Co-op nearby. The Canoe Lake & seafront are a 3 minute walk. Gunwharf designer shops area 35 minute walk along the seafront or a 7 minute taxi ride. The apartment benefits from its own parking space on the forecourt. There are regular buses which are only a 3 minute walk away. Palmerston Road shops, which have numerous bars & restaurants is only a 15 minute walk. There are plenty of places to visit with The Cumberland House Natural History Museum being a five minute walk. Portsmouth Museum is a 20 minute walk and the Historical Dockyard, which includes The Warrior, The first iron clad warship, The Mary Rose Henry 8th Flag ship and HMS Victory, Nelsons ship from The Battle of Trafalgar are all based further along the seafront. You can also visit the birth place of Charles Dickens and its museum as well as the birthplace of Peter Sellers who imortalised The Pink Panther. Beaulieu is a 50 minute drive with one of the worlds most impressive car collection and is currently holding a James Bond exhibition.
