A scenic spot within 100 acres of countryside, Willingcott offers plenty of opportunity for outdoor excursions. The Tarka Trail runs right past the site, while the South West Coast Path is within easy reach, so for those who wish to experience North Devon’s beauty and scenery it doesn’t get better. Of course, for most visitors holidaying in Woolacombe it’s all about the town’s 3-mile golden beach and famous Atlantic swells, where days can be spent sunbathing, swimming, rock pooling or surfing. The beach which is privately owned, also offers terrific facilities like seasonal lifeguarding, a large car park, beach huts, toilets, café’s and shops. Other wonderful beaches in the area include Barricane with its fantastic Sri Lankan food hut, Putsborough, Saunton Sands and Croyde.
