Stroll along the wide promenade where you can walk right along the stretch of coast to Cullercoats and onto Tynemouth, all with fabulous places to eat and drink. Whitley Bay is wonderful for families of all ages, still retaining some old-fashioned seaside charm, whilst Tynemouth has some amazing restaurants and bars, a Sealife Centre, The ancient Abbey, hidden coves, and highly rated beaches perfect for surfing and rock pooling. Nearby, catch a bus or metro if you want to leave your car behind perhaps spend a day in Newcastle, a city of culture and entertainment where you will receive a warm Geordie welcome.
