Lower Farm Barn is located 6 miles away from the bustling market town of Hungerford. Best known today as a centre for antique shops, unique shops and boutiques, along with a range of warm and friendly pubs such as The Pulme, providing locally sourced and seasonally inspired dishes. Retaining many of the traditional buildings in the town centre, Hungerford is also within distance of several important historical places and traditions.
If you're wanting to stay closer to Combe, the Crown and Anchor pub is just 5 miles away, providing you locally sourced, seasonal dishes that celebrate traditional British cooking with a contemporary twist, whilst at the foot of the North Wessex Downs.
For a historic day out, visit Highclere Castle, with several events throughout the year and general admission days where you can discover the Downton Abbey set from the film.
Further afield, Bowood House and Gardens, where you can explore the historic house, and the beautiful gardens which have been used for popular film and television dramas such as Poldark, Sanditon, and the recent Downton Abbey.
For a more local activity, enjoy a trip on the canal and Hungerford, where you can enjoy views of the beautiful countryside, between Kintbury and Great Bedwyn.
