Lode & Beyond Enjoy the peaceful countryside right on your doorstep. Just a short walk away is the National Trust, Anglesey Abbey. Perfect for garden strolls and woodland walks. For food and drink, local favourites include The Shed, The Bell in Bottisham, Black Horse in Swaffham Bulbeck. Looking for a bit more adventure? Newmarket, the home of British horse racing is just 15 minutes away - ideal for a day at the races or a visit to the National Horseracing Museum. Cambridge is only 20 minutes by car, where you can go punting, explore the historic colleges or enjoy the City's many shops, cafes and museums. Love cycling? Try the Lodes Way a scenic route through the fens linking Lode to Wicken Fen - perfect for exploring the countryside on two wheels.
