Venture out to the pretty bustling market town of Bridport where on Wednesdays and Saturdays the two main roads are packed with antique, flower and food stalls. Bridport is also the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site and well worth exploring. Furleigh Estates is only a ten minute walk from Loaf where great tours of the vineyard are on offer. Washingpool Farm Shop and Restaurant is only three miles away and offers an extensive range of fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, meats, breads and baked goods, general provisions and a large range of local and artisan products. Towards the nearby village of Symondsbury you will find walks around the estate ending up at the top of Colmers Hill, a famous landmark. On your way back, pop into the Symondsbury Kitchen cafe for refreshments. The nearby town of Beaminster offering local shops, cafes and pubs is approximately six miles away. A visit to West Bay is a must - after crabbing off the harbour, grab fish and chips from one of the many kiosks and head to the beach for a picnic. All year round dog walking at Cogden, a National Trust beach, is the perfect place to clear the cobwebs.
