Langstrath Cottage is a traditional two storey Lakeland cottage situated in the village of Chapel Stile on the road to Great Langdale that provides accommodation for up to four guests. Downstairs there is a cosy lounge with open fire, kitchen and open plan dining area. Upstairs is a double bedroom and a twin with a separate bathroom with shower over the bath. Outside there is a lovely patio area with fantastic views across the meadow to the fells beyond. The property also benefits from off road parking. The heart of the village is just a short stroll away where guests can find the well stocked local convenience store – the Langdale Co-op, Brambles Cafe, the Village Church – The Great Langdale Holy Trinity and Wainwrights Inn which sells local brewed ales and provides good homemade food. The famous climbers inn The Old Dungeon Ghyll, New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, and Stickle Barn Tavern (now owned by the National Trust) are just up the Langdale Valley.

The property is close to a main bus route. Elterwater, the famous Britannia Inn, Slates Cafe and the Eltermere Inn are a pleasant riverside walk away. The cottage is also handily placed to access the Langdale Valley, is four miles from Ambleside and close to neighbouring villages of Grasmere and Hawkshead.
