The property is a barn conversion next to the main house. It is a beautiful place and in a lovely setting. The loft is long and large with plenty of room. The heating took the edge off the slightly colder weather and it was very cosy. If you are...

It's a beautiful conversion of a stable loft. Very spacious and in a lovely location. We used it as a base to look at some of the local sights. The Village store has some great cheeses and ciders. The kitchenette was perfect for our needs.

The space was very cute and comfortable. The hosts answered any questions we had very quickly. The directions for checking in were very easy to follow. The grounds are beautiful. We didn't have a car but the walk into the little town was very easy.

Lovely converted barn, well appointed kitchen (although no oven) and spacious living room / bedroom. Lovely views across the garden to countryside beyond. Quiet and on the outskirts of the village.

The Grange stables is a luxury self-contained bolt hole in a beautiful village in South Somerset. A period conversion under a thatched roof, we having lovingly recently renovated and modernized the building. There is a huge open plan living and sleeping area on the first floor with beautiful views looking out over our garden and fields beyond. There is separate bathroom off one end of the open plan space and a small separate room at the other end of the open plan space by the sleeping area which would be suitable for a baby or child (an extra mattress and cot-bed are available). The property has its own entrance on the ground floor which opens into a fully-fitted kitchen with kettle, toaster, hob, combination microwave, washing machine, fridge and breakfast bar. We are close to the shopping, eating and cultural amenities of Castle Cary, Bruton and Sherborne. The village has an excellent shop, Teals Farmshop, a pub and a beautiful church. There are lots of excellent walks from the house (including the Leland Trail and Monarch's Way), and fantastic pubs and restaurants all within close proximity. The Newt, Hauser & Wirth, Stourhead, Haynes Motor Museum, Yeovilton and other attractions are all a short drive away. Dorset’s beautiful Jurassic coast is a bit further afield but makes a lovely day trip. Perfect for couples, a small family or friends.
We are a family of four with two teenage children and two gorgeous four legged furry friends who live in a beautiful area of South Somerset. We moved out of London 10 years ago so we could all enjoy a more peaceful and better quality of life. We have recently modernised the stable block to create a luxury self-contained bolthole. We love it and are sure you will love it too. We are very happy to help if we are around which is most of the time!
Located in a quiet, peaceful part of South Somerset, surrounded by open fields, we are on the edge of a lovely village with a good local shop, Teals farmshop, pub, beautiful 13th Century Church. The market towns of Castle Cary, Bruton and Sherborne are only a few miles away with their array of excellent shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants. Other local attractions include the Newt, Haynes Motor Museum, Yeovilton Fleet Air Museum, Stourhead and Sherborne Abbey. The Jurassic coast with its beautiful beaches is only just over an hour away. Parking is free onsite, round the back away from the road. A car is essential to get around.
