Visitors return year after year to Gannet Chalet for a rare opportunity to stay right on the beach. Once you come you will be hooked. There is nothing quite like it. Situated on the East Beach, Gannet is the last of five chalets and the only one with a private large decked area and uninterrupted views towards Chesil Beach. We think it is the best sea view in Devon! Gannet offers a perfect escape. Gannet has a private wood decked platform with outdoor dining table and bench. Kitchen, fully equipped with Calor gas cooker & Hob, Microwave and Fridge. Living room with sea view balcony with seating units, a wide range of books, games and a small Sony TV. Bedroom 1 - Double bed Bedroom 2 - Twin beds Bathroom has integral bath/shower, heated towel rail, hand basin and WC Free Parking for 2 cars in the car park Paid Laundry facilities next to the cafe. Please note there is a 2.2 metre height restriction for the car park Access- Once parked in the car park, access is by foot only. Guests will need to carry their luggage up the field at the rear of the East Beach chalets, (please note the field can be slippy during wet weather), there is a gate with steps that lead onto the beach (shown in photos), walk along the pebbles to the chalet. Day to day, you should be able to walk along the pebbles, you just may get wet feet from the stream when the water is high! Internet: The internet service is owned by The Sea Shanty. As part of your stay in Gannet the owners have included a voucher for a week's use for 4 devices, details will be emailed before arrival. EE & O2 have reasonable mobile signal with 4G, and if you like watching movies we recommend downloading these before you come.

Guests can explore the Jurassic Coast whilst enjoying stunning walks in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and The South West Coast Path. The Donkey Sanctuary, Crealy and Pecorama are all nearby for fun filled days with the kids. There are a wide range of activities nearby, from Paddleboarding and water skiing to Golf at Sidmouth Golf Club. Sidmouth and the nearby local towns have a wealth of independent boutique shops, cafes and restaurants, including Otterton Mill and Lympstone Manor. There are two pubs within walking distance, The Fountain Head and The Masons Arms, along with the Sea Shanty shop and cafe on Branscombe Beach.
