Fair Farm Hideaway is located in a rural lakeside setting in the Vale of Belvoir in Waltham on the Wolds, on a family farm. Each hut has its own private entrance with an elevated terrace and private patio area where views of the lakes, wildflower fields and countryside can be enjoyed. All huts have en-suite facilities with towels and linen provided. The huts have their own private BBQ and fire-pit. All huts have wood fired hot tubs which can be lit prior to arrival upon request (for a fee of £10). All huts have their own private wood fired hot tubs with complimentary wood provided for your stay. Guests can purchase tickets for the exclusive use of the fishing lakes from Fair Farm Hideaway. The area is home to authentic culinary dishes such as Melton Mowbray pork pie, Stilton cheese and Red Leicester cheese, which guests can try during their stay. East Midlands Airport is 29 miles from Fair Farm Hideaway. Grantham rail station is 12 miles away, with a connection to London's King Cross taking just over an hour.

Fair Farm Hideaway is a small, friendly, quiet and secluded site, in a pretty rural lakeside setting. The Shepherd hut site is located on our family farm and you will have open views across our fishing lakes, grassland as well as beautiful far-reaching views across the Leicestershire countryside. The Shepherd hut site has been designed to ensure each hut has a unique view of the lake, whilst being landscaped to provide a designated private area for each hut. Visitors will be able to walk and cycle through established and newly created wild life habitats. All huts have en-suite facilities with all towels and linen provided, everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and allow you to relax and slow down to nature's pace whilst enjoying the surrounding countryside. All huts contain modern facilities such as coffee machine, kettle, toaster, 2 ring hob, microwave and TV. Some huts also contain a oven , smart TV's and hot tubs. Guests can purchase fishing tickets on site for exclusive access to our two fishing lakes

The Shepherd huts’ site is positioned on the outskirts of the village of Waltham on the Wolds, which is 5 miles north of the quaint market town of Melton Mowbray, the renowned rural capital of food in the county of Leicestershire. Waltham on the Wolds is also located within the beautiful Vale of Belvoir, with the magnificent Belvoir Castle situated 6 ½ miles away. The village has a pub restaurant, serving both lunch and dinner on a daily basis. Pie night on a Monday night is not to be missed! There is a post office and shop, as well as a deli and doctors surgery. There are plenty of walking routes through the beautiful countyside. Sky diving, gliding, shooting and many other activities are within a short distance of the village. Group bookings can be arranged on request. Further north of the village, along the main A607 and across the border into Lincolnshire, lies the town of Grantham. Grantham is situated 10 miles from Waltham on the Wolds and is on the main East Coast train line with regular trains from London taking a little over an hour.

Please note only the Superior Shepherd's Hut - Jacob, Masham and Ryeland is pet friendly for a charge of £7.50 per day for one dog and £10 per day for 2 dogs. If you wish to bring a pet, please mention this in the Special Requests box when making your booking.

Lincoln Longwool and Border Leicester are two of our dog friendly huts. There is a charge of £7.50 per day to bring your dog along to stay. Pets must not be left unattended in the hut for any reason.

The other Shepherd's Huts cannot accommodate pets.

Please note, there is an extra charge of £10 for the hot tube to be lit before arrival.
