Upon arrival you will be greeted and shown around by either myself- Stephen, My wife Paula, My Daughter Aileen or Son Josh. As a family we have been and many camping holidays together and made some of our best memories. We wanted to create a place where families and friends could make their memories. Welcome to Drybeck Farm in the heart of the beautiful and unspoilt Eden Valley, Cumbria near The Lake District. We offer a tailor made luxury outdoor holiday for families, couples and groups on the North East edge of the Lake District. Our Glamping style accommodation consists of a traditional Mongolian Yurt, 2 gypsy caravans and 2 of our Quirky Wooden Cabins. All are lovingly renovated furnished and equipped with a real eye for detail. Each accommodation is unique to its self, furnished with recycled, upcycled, handmade or ethically source materials. The accommodation is a back to nature experience without compromising on comfort. All accommodation is sited so that one is not overlooking the other, very private with lots of space for everybody. The setting is simply stunning – right on the banks of the river Eden in the midst of a typically pastoral English scene. Each accommodation has a fully equipped kitchen with running mains water and electricity. the Wigloo and the lantern house both have private wood fired hot-tubs, there is also 3rd wood fired hot-tub on site available for anyone exclusively hire.

There are ideal spots along the local section of the river for wild swimming. The Eden Valley is great cycling country, There are also plenty of walking routes, whether down the river towards Wetheral or upstream to Armathwaite to discover the ancient rock carvings in the Eden Gorge. The Eden Valley is steeped in history, heritage and wildlife with many mystical and magical attractions such as the Long Meg Stone Circle, Lacey’s Caves and the fascinating Watermill all close to the village of Little Salkeld. Enjoy the Eden Valley’s artisan food producers, eateries and local farmers markets. If you want to travel further afield the Armathwaite station on the Carlisle-Settle line is just a 20 minute walk away. From here you can take a short ride to the ancient border city of Carlisle with its castle, cathedral, museum and shopping centre. You can also travel by train into the upper Eden Valley, exploring the market towns of Appleby and Kirby Stephen, their surrounding countryside and fells, and beyond in to the Yorkshire Dales. Easily reached by car is the Lake District with its beautiful lakes, valleys, dramatic high fells and the borderlands including Hadrian’s Wall.
