Hey, lovely people! I'm Vicky and my aim is to make your experience extra special. So, get ready for a delightful stay filled with warmth and care. My amazing family of five keep me on my toes, but I'll always find time to ensure you have everything you need. We have 3 super dogs, Winnie, Roo & Maggie and Jackson, the cat. When I'm not out in the garden, I'm out walking other people's dogs. I look forward to you staying.
I aim to be available to greet guests in person to welcome you on your arrival. However, when this is not possible a key safe is provided and you will be messaged with the access code. During your stay, me or a member of my family will generally be on hand in person or by phone to ensure stay runs smoothly.
Friskney is one of the UK's largest villages and is becoming a popular settlement. One of its many attractions is its rolling landscape, a peaceful parish with some nice walks, and a well stocked convenience store. Central to both Boston, a dock town steeped in history, and our bustling little seaside town of Skegness. On our door step is the very popular Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, The Askefield Project, a social farm, Grandma's Pudding, a specialist tea room supporting adults with learning difficulties and the very popular Barley Mow Pub. If walking is your thing then you might like to explore the Friskney Walk Three or venture to Friskney Marsh, a redundant RAF Bombing range and breath in some sea air. If you fancy exploring a little further, take a short drive to Freiston Shore Nature Reserve. A picturesque spot and very popular with bird enthusiasts and dog walkers.
Getting around by car is best due to the very rural location. Buses can be accessed from the village and the nearest train line is a 5 minute drive away in Wainfleet.
For your convenience
When you arrive please make use of the filtered water, milk, coffee & sugar we have provided for your convenience. Put your feet up and grab a biscuit before unloading your luggage.
Dog etiquette
Whilst we welcome well mannered pups, we do ask that they stay off the bed and furniture as we take pride in maintaining high standards within our holiday let, including quality linens. Muddy paw stains and excess hair are very hard to eradicate. You are encouraged to bring your own dog bedding. We do have dog blankets available in the room. Please look in the yellow footstool. Finally, please don't leave your dog unattended and alone within the property.
Non-smoking
We operate a non smoking policy indoors and outdoors of the property. We kindly ask vaping to remain outdoors.
Shopping
If you want to stock up on a few groceries or need groceries, all the major supermarkets deliver here.
