Located in the town centre of Oakham, the The George Inn is 1.5 miles from Rutland Water. The area is popular for sailing, trout fishing, bird watching and cycling. The George Inn is opposite Oakham School, Oakham Castle and ideal for visits to Burghley House and Rockingham Racetrack Oakham train station is a 2-minute walk away. The George Restaurant has a large choice of dishes, all freshly prepared by our team of creative internationally trained Chefs. There is also 24-hour room service available. Rutland Water Nature Reserve is only 1.4 miles away from the property, and offer traffic-free cycling paths and other activities such as sailing, windsurfing, fishing, rock climbing, canoeing, golf and bird watching.
