Ballykeel Farm is pet friendly, self-catering accommodation in old converted farm buildings at the foot of the Mourne Mountains. There has been a dwelling on this site for over 250 years. Our family leased the farm from the Kilmory Estate in 1798 has lived here ever since. The Booley is a large, fully equipped, one bedroom self contained apartment perfect for a couple or a family with young children. The Stables has three en-suite bedrooms, perfect for a group or family looking to explore the Mourne area. We are easy to get to on the A2 between Kilkeel and Annalong, close to all the amenities of Newcastle. Within easy reach are many of the Mournes best walking, hiking, mountain biking trails and golf courses. There is a wealth of things to do and see for all ages and tastes. Come to us for a wonderfully relaxing farm stay holiday. Review from Julie, 2021 'Just home from our weekend stay at The Booley .... a fantastic weekend. The family have farmed Ballykeel farm since 1798 when the first lease was taken from the Kilmorey Estate. We grow beef and farm potatoes, harvesting daily through the summer for the freshest produce. We have a long history of welcoming visitors to the farm but have taken it to a new level by converting old stone buildings to provide characterful but modern accommodation. We live on site so can deal with any questions or problems immediately with the personal touch.
Ballykeel Farm is the perfect base for a holiday in the Mournes. Lots of things to do and see. Ballymartin beach 5 minutes walk. The Mourne Mountains are 10 minutes drive away. Kilkeel, Annalong and Newcastle (if you feel like a holiday town) are all a short drive. There is plenty of parking in the farm yard.
