Chez Lily is a luxurious, quality, countryside gite for up to 5 people, one main bedroom with room for a single bed or crib, with a large comfortable sofa bed in the lounge for two adults or children. Free off-road parking, a swimming pool 6x4 metres, with spectacular views. We are close to main towns and 5 international airports. Bordeaux 1 hour, Atlantic coast 75 mins. Angouleme 30 mins, local town of Barbezieux with supermarkets, town markets, swimming pool and cinema, is 10 mins. Famous Cognac town is just 35 mins, plus renowned Spa town of Jonzac with Thermal Baths, Therapeutic and swimming complex just 25 mins. Direct train access to Bordeaux airport, so fly in and rent a car!

We are next door to the gite, although you will have your own private space and garden, we are close to hand if needed.

A quiet village 10km from Barbezieux town with all major amenities and supermarkets, banks etc. The beautiful Charente region is next to the Dordogne and the famous Bordeaux wine regions such as Saint-Émilion, Cotes de Blaye, Pomerol and Medoc, undoubtedly some of the finest wines in France. The Charente region is also famous for Cognac, with Cognac town just a 40 minute drive from the gite. A tour of the famous distilleries in the region is also a popular tourist attraction. We have a number of golf courses in the area, closest being Aubterre, then 30 minutes to Cognac and Angouleme, La Preze and Saintes are about an hour, plus others a similar distance. We are in the countryside, bus transport is available close by in Barbezieux or Jurignac to Angouleme, the road structure is very good, car hire excellent value, with little traffic, so any travel is uncomplicated and easy. The region is also serviced by major trunk roads from Paris to Bordeaux, including rail connections, with regular TGVs stopping at stations just 15km away. If you like cycling, then there are some beautiful roads and cycling routes. Cycles can be arranged with prior notice.
