Exceptional Riverside Cottage on the Lot river
Located in Livinhac-le-Bas, in the heart of Aveyron, our cottage, set on a large wooded property, offers direct and private access to an extraordinary stretch of the Lot river. At the foot of our land lies a stunning 6-kilometre long reach of the river – a wild, untouched meander that remains rarely visited due to its remote access.
Whether you are nature lovers seeking total immersion in the wild, or passionate anglers (beginner or experienced), we’ll be happy to share our deep knowledge of the area with you.
The stone cottage, with its original timber frame, has been stylishly and authentically renovated, and comfortably accommodates up to 5 guests. It includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, bathroom with walk-in shower, and two mezzanines with three beds (including a King-size bed). The mezzanines are connected by a catamaran net – a fun and relaxing spot to read or take a nap.
The river lies just 80 meters from the house via a private path. You'll find a charming picnic area with tables, chairs, a barbecue, and more. It’s an idyllic setting where you can enjoy lunch by the water – and even swim !
A Fisherman's Paradise
For anglers, this is a dream location. The river stretch accessible from the cottage is around 6 km of pristine water, home to pike, catfish, carp (night fishing allowed), perch, barbel, roach, and many more species.
If you fish with a float tube, we can drop you off at a great spot and pick you up downstream. We can also provide fishing equipment, take you by boat or 4x4 to remote fishing posts, set up your camping bivouac, prebait your swim, or deliver meal baskets to your site.
Please note :
• Bedroom access is via a steep miller's ladder, which may not be suitable for everyone.
• This is an eco-friendly home with phyto-purification and dry toilets.
The owner is a former professional fishing guide, ready to offer tailored advice and assistance !
