ZooRooms Guesthouse offers an ideal location in the centre of Barcelona and 10 minutes’ walk from Passeig de Gràcia and Gaudí’s Casa Batlló. It includes free WiFi, shared furnished terrace, and a communal kitchen. Each room at ZooRooms Guesthouse features unique décor designed by international artists, high ceilings, and air conditioning. Some rooms come with a French balcony. All rooms have a private bathroom; towels and bed linen are included. Guests can relax in the ZooRoom’s lounge, which features a mural by international artist Sara Maia, local artwork, stylish furniture,and a small library. I opened ZOOROOMS just over 12 years ago because I felt there was a space in the tourism world of Barcelona for a different kind of accommodation - a place where guests can feel 'at home' from the moment they arrive. From travelling I've learnt what I like and don't like in a place - a welcoming atmosphere is essential, a place with soul. So we ensure guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Another element are the rooms - they had to be comfortable, but interesting too - so we had artists paint them individually! Each one is unique. I also knew I liked the friendly environment I found in hostels, but I like the privacy that ensuite private rooms offer. So, I had to ensure the place was inviting enough for guests to feel they can start a conversation with other guests and make new friends if they wanted, but they still have privacy and don't have to be sociable if they do not wish to. A communal living area, kitchen and sun terrace ensured that this was likely to happen. The result has been excellent. In my spare time I like to paraglide and travel :-)

WE ARE A SMALL GUESTHOUSE OFFERING A MORE INTIMATE AND PERSONAL EXPERIENCE THAN YOU WILL FIND STAYING AT A LARGER HOTEL IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE. OUR GUESTS LIKE THEIR PRIVACY BUT ALSO ENJOY SOCIALIZING AND A BIT OF COMMUNAL LIVING IN THE KITCHEN AND TERRACE AREAS.
