The Pool Guests can enjoy an 8 x 4 metre pool with deep end, open all year round and heated from March to December. This is exclusively for guests of Apartmento Ruby. Outdoor Spaces Several sun-soaked terraces offer sun loungers, dining tables, and relaxed seating areas for outdoor living. You’ll also find our tranquil “long garden” with fruit trees – a perfect spot to read, unwind, or listen to the sounds of nature. Guests are welcome to use the gas BBQ and paella grill for al fresco cooking, or enjoy preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen in the apartment. Games Room The games room is exclusively for guests, featuring a full size pool table, board games, and books – all free to use and perfect for relaxing on quieter days or to escape the heat of Rusty the Boxer! We live on-site at Casa Tomaddi in the main house, along with our friendly rescue boxer dog, Rusty. He loves meeting people but if you prefer not to meet him just let us know. We know some people (like us) will want to say hello and others will not, that's OK.

We relocated from Northern Ireland to rural Spain in 2024 to pursue our long-held dream of creating a peaceful holiday retreat in the countryside. We live in a separate house on the property, so we’re nearby if you need assistance or local tips, but we also respect your privacy. This is your time to relax, and we’ll ensure you have the space to enjoy the accommodation and surroundings without interruption.

Location Casa Tomaddi is set above the Rambla de Oria, a dry riverbed typical of this region. To access CasaTomaddi you will drive on the rambla for about 5 minutes, this is common in rural Spain and suitable for all standard vehicles. The property is surrounded by working olive and fruit groves, offering a peaceful, authentic setting. You will need a car to access this property, it is not accessible by public transport, and you will also need a car to drive to the nearby towns. Nature lovers can explore hiking trails starting right from the doorstep, with stunning views across the surrounding hills and mountains. The area is also popular with cyclists and motorcyclists, thanks to its quiet roads and dramatic scenery. Just 2 km away, the friendly local bar Angelita’s serves drinks, tapas, and a warm welcome. Near the bar, Casa de la Dolores restaurant offers traditional grilled dishes from Thursday to Sunday (by reservation only). The town of Oria is just 15 minutes by car, offering local shops and bars, while the larger town of Albox is 20 minutes away, with supermarkets, banks, and a wide range of dining options. If you're craving a beach day, the coastal towns of Vera, Garrucha, and Mojácar are a 45–60 minute drive. Casa Tomaddi also makes a great base for day trips to Granada, Murcia, or Almería – all within reach for an unforgettable cultural experience.
