Escape to the mountains and experience peace and tranquillity staying at our traditional Spanish cave cortijo. We go the extra mile to give our guests a special experience. As our only guests, you can enjoy a variety of areas both inside and outside of our Cortijo including an ensuite bedroom with private entrance, self-catering fully equipped detached kitchen diner, plus sole use of our beautiful plunge pool and various terraces and seating areas. Situated next to a dry riverbed, you can enjoy walking, hiking, mountain biking or simply relaxing with uninterrupted mountain views. You may spot ibex, kestrels and eagles near our cortijo or if lucky, even wild boar. As our guests, you will enjoy total privacy within the variety of spaces full of Spanish character including sole use of our stunning turquoise plunge pool with breathtaking 360 mountain views. There is a shaded seating area with a hammock to the right side of the main patio and beyond the plunge pool, there is a detached kitchen/dining room with a table and chairs, microwave, two ring gas hob, electric kettle, toaster, fridge, gas BBQ, gas paella ring, cutlery, crockery and a hot water sink. There are additional seating areas on our lower terraces with stunning views.

I enjoy meeting people and offering homely and comfortable accommodation. I love cooking, crafting, gardening, walking on the mountains and wildlife spotting. I love animals and have a beautiful Welsh border collie dog and a Spanish rescue tabby cat.

There are many mountains and barrancos in the immediate vicinity to explore on foot or on mountain bikes in order to spot wildlife and take in the breathtaking views. We are happy to take you on guided walks and bike rides at a minimal cost on request. There is a traditional Spanish bar on the rambla approximately 20-30 mins walk. Oria village is 10kms and Albox town is 11kms away. Oria: Oria has their market on a Sunday and their stunning church is open at 11am. The village also has a couple of banks, small supermarkets and a good variety of bars plus a Carrefour shop next to the petrol station. Albox: Albox is a larger town with all the facilities anyone should need including their markets on a Tuesday and Saturday, all the larger supermarkets, banks, beautiful church, many squares and bars, eateries, public swimming pool and bowling alley. The coast is approximately a 45 minutes drive. Beaches are many including Mojácar, Villaricos, Vera, San Juan plus many more down along the Cabo de Gata. Airports: Almeria (1 hr 30 mins) Murcia (1 hr 45 mins) Alicante (2 hrs 30 mins) Very occasionally, our rambla floods if we get heavy rain but we can assist with any access issues. The last 1.3kms to our casa is a dirt track so please drive carefully.
