This charming, 3-star hotel and vineyard, built on the foundations of an old Roman mill, offers peaceful accommodation in Mertesdorf, just 8 kilometres outside the ancient city of Trier. The rooms of the Hotel und Weingut Karlsmühle are tastefully furnished and feature views either over the old mill wheel or over the Ruwertal valley. The hotel offers its own wine tasting sessions in the vaulted cellar and you can buy the Karlsmühle's wines from the shop. The traditional restaurant offers wild game or fish dishes, hunted and caught on the hotel's own lands. A breakfast buffet is available every morning.
