With its reputation as the "World Street of Furs", this feeder became the city's most important street during World War II and is thus mainly responsible for Leipzig's international reputation as a commercial metropolis. Located between the Leipzig Opera House and the aforementioned Old Town, you will find numerous cafés, restaurants and stores in the immediate vicinity.
