Villa Ihler was built almost 120 years ago as a guesthouse at the foot of the Thuringian Forest. We rent out a self-contained holiday flat with 1 bedroom for two people. Optionally, there is a sofa bed in the living room for another 1-2 persons. Our house is located 50 metres from the forest on a quiet street. A lot of culture, sights, leisure activities as well as shopping facilities (3km) and gastronomy (1km) are nearby.

Our village of Luisenthal belongs administratively to the pleasant little town of Ohrdruf with its recently renovated castle. Here you will find all the shops and discount stores for your daily needs, good restaurants and the charming café at the market. The nearest Rewe supermarket is 2.9 km away via the cycle path through the meadows (Bach cycle path). In Luisenthal itself there is a restaurant (approx. 1km away) and a good snack bar at the "Luisenthal train station" stop (approx. 500m away). The bus between Gotha and Oberhof runs every two hours. The bus stop "Luisenthal Bahnhof" is approx. 500m away. The offer is interesting for all guests who are either looking for peace and nature or who have work to do in the area. Many well-known and charming places are in the immediate vicinity (Gotha 20km; Bach town Arnstadt 20 km; state capital Erfurt 45 km; Goethe's Weimar 55 km; World Heritage Site Wartburg 50 km). In winter, the mountains are quite snow-sure, especially in the first few months of the year. Cross-country ski trails around the Schneekopf are 15 km away. Many excellent cycle paths in the surrounding area (the Bach cycle path runs past the property; Gera cycle path; chain of towns etc.)
