Hello, we are Jürgen and Lilian Gutowski – two travel journalists and musicians with a great passion for life, rock spirit, gentle tones—and of course, for traveling.
Two years ago, we fell in love with the beautiful Leine-Weser Uplands. The nature is grounding, the people here are exceptionally friendly and relaxed, and the view from the chalet is unique. Since we also travel around the world, we decided to share a small piece of this paradise with you.
We furnished our Chalet Bellevue with a lot of love for detail. We always asked ourselves: “How would we want to feel in this place?” Our answer was clear: modern, elegant, and welcoming at the same time. We designed our chalet as we would wish it to be elsewhere—a place where you immediately feel at home, but that also enchants with its special charm.
For us, the greatest compliment is when our guests feel just as comfortable here as we do. That’s why we selected every piece of furniture, every accessory, and every detail to contribute to a relaxed, stylish stay. We look forward to welcoming you to our Chalet Bellevue and hope that you will feel just as at home here as we do!
Escape from stress, be creative, work relaxed, relax while watching butterflies – the house and the surroundings offer exactly these opportunities.
The area is especially interesting for people seeking peace, for romantic vacations, hiking, motorcycle and bike trips, family holidays, and also for remote workers. Those looking for a furnished transitional solution (up to 89 days) can also use this place to calmly search for something new after a move, a career change, or perhaps after a breakup.
The house is only a few minutes' drive from the German Fairy Tale Route and offers great excursion options for the whole family. The Snow White town of Alfeld, Holzminden with its fairy-tale Duftmarkt, the Münchhausen town of Bodenwerder, or the Rat Catcher of Hameln – all are easily accessible from Hohenbüchen (about 10-30 minutes by car).
Two outdoor pools (only 500 and 800 meters from Chalet Bellevue) invite you to swim from spring to late summer. An additional highlight for hikers is right behind the house: the Hils-Ith hiking trail. Through a door in the garden, you can directly access the forest that leads to the trail.
In nearby Brunkensen, one of the most famous lost places in Lower Saxony awaits: the Lipoldshöhle. Equipped with hiking shoes and flashlights, the old robber's cave – which was indeed a hideout! – can be explored well as a family.
