We are a Czech-British couple and after successful careers in plant science we moved with our dogs from Yorkshire in England to a village in South Bohemia. We are looking forward to hosting guests. Our aim is to breathe life into this beautiful and spacious property and share it with people. In addition to the apartment, there is a renovated barn with a capacity of 50-60 people, which we already tested during our wedding reception! There is a stable with five loose boxes, plus other adjacent spaces that are awaiting their transformation.
The village of Bujanov is located in the middle of forests and pastures. Grocery store is 50m away and local pub 150m away from the apartment. Bus stop 30m and train stop in 300m.
Not far from our house, in the building of the former guardhouse, you will find a museum of the horse-drawn railway that led from České Budějovice to Linz.
You can then follow the yellow trail to Louzek Castle, which is approximately 6.8 km away. This castle was built between the 13th and 14th centuries on a promontory between the river Malše and a stream once called Katzbach and served to protect the old country path leading from České Budějovice to Austria. The remains of the tower and part of the surrounding masonry of the former palace have survived to this day.
There is a pond in the village where fishing competitions are held twice a year. Other activities organized by the municipality include cake parties and the popular tractor ride.
