Staying at Balkoni Moutoullas will help you unwind and relax by enjoying the view of the mountains, the crisp fresh mountain air, the green scenery.
The property offers a panoramic view of the village of Moutoullas and a view of the valley. Sitting at the spacious balcony you have unobstructed views of the fruit trees and orchards in the valley and all the sites of the village including the much-photographed village church of Agia Paraskevi, the chapel of Prophet Elias on the mountaintop, as well as the church of Panagia Moutoullas, a UNESCO world heritage site.
While relaxing and enjoying the tranquility, you can hear the birds chirping and the river Setrachos flowing all year round; smell bread, tahini pies and cookies baking at the village bakery; gaze at the starlight sky and feel the clean, crisp air on your face.
I live in Nicosia with my family. We all really enjoy escaping to Moutoullas, where we tend to spend the better part of each summer; relaxing, cooking, hiking, spending time with friends and reconnecting with nature take center stage. I love connecting with new people and sharing my insights on the village and the neighboring area with guests. Our guests find their stay at Balkoni Moutoullas, and in the Troodos area rewarding.
From Balkoni Moutoullas you can explore Moutoullas, the neighboring villages of Kalopanagiotis and Pedoulas and the wider area of Marathasa, the Troodos Geopark and beyond. Balkoni Moutoullas is also a convenient base for day trips, walks or hikes and cycling excursions all year round. During the winter months skiing on the Troodos ski slopes is definitely an added benefit.
This can be your launching pad for active adventures, religious tourism or simply a place to escape to and disconnect.
In the area you can find a plethora of cultural and religious points of interest. The Painted Churches in the Troodos region is a World Heritage site; it comprises ten rural churches and monasteries built on the Troodos mountains from the 11th to the 16th century. Panayia tou Moutoulla church is visible from our balcony and St. John Lampadistis Monastery in Kalopanayiotis is within walking distance. There are also a number of well-known orthodox monasteries which are a pleasant drive away: Kykkos Monastery, Trooditissa Monastery and Trikoukia Monastery.
