Hi, I am Jan, born in Curaçao in 1961 and living here since 1989. With my wife and co-host Doenia, I have been living in Sint Willibrordus for the past 5 years. I enjoy the authentic and relaxed atmosphere of outdoor living in a true local environment. Reading, writing, cooking, hiking, biking and music are my main hobbies. I have a university education and speak English, Dutch, Papiamento and some Spanish, German and even a little French. I love to share my local knowledge and experiences with visitors.
You'll be staying on our property and we can assist in making your stay with us unforgettable. But we respect privacy and we leave it up to you how you want to spend your stay with us. Everything is possible, nothing is expected.
St. Willibrordus is located 15min from the airport and 25min to historic Willemstad, in the pristine Reef St. Marie valley in between five former plantations. The village was constituted after the abolition of slavery and the historic church from 1888 is a landmark object in the valley. Just outside the village is Landhouse Jan Kok with its former salt ponds, where the flamingo's are. From here you can make beautiful nature trails for hiking and biking. The village is authentic and here you stay with the local people. There are three beautiful beaches all within 5min driving outside the village. Further west are more beautiful bays, beaches and nature areas.
The lodge is easily accessible from the public road. You have a private entrance to the road and a carport next to the apartment.
