We're a family business. Olga, the owner has lived on the island for 25 years and started the business as a b&b in 2012. Juan, Olga's son, is the newest staff member. We relay each other, so you´ll meet either of us during your stay.

With a private beach on Barabacoa´s Bay and five rooms in all, this small but cozy bed and breakfast is known for its warm welcoming and tailored hosting. Baru Island is the perfect way of completing your stay in Cartagena with an enchanting rural touch. Located one hour away from Cartagena's international airport, the area is popular for snorkeling in the Rosario Island's coral reefs and hiking in the nearby exotic Bird Sanctuary. We're located in Baru Island's south coast, in a calm, secluded and private accessed beach, opposite to busy Playa Blanca. ***During rainy season, Barbacoa Bay can become opaque or muddy due to the fresh water of a nearby river that brings sediment into the bay.*** At Playa Manglares, each room comes with a private bathroom fitted with a shower and wifi access. The bed and breakfast has a private beach area, and guests can enjoy the restaurant's delicious homemade cooking. Free private parking is also available on site. You will find concierge services at the property.
