This is the initiative of the award-winning Chilean wildlife filmmaker and naturalist, winner of 4 Emmy awards, Christian Munoz-Donoso . He have brought to this property the spirit of the modern expeditions that for Christian, in his more than 25 years working as a nature cameraman for Netflix, National Geographic, BBC, Discovery Channel and other important television networks worldwide, have been an important part of his lifetime.

The room is a soft-loft that is located on the upper floor of our Coffee Shop. Both are connected by an open (no door) spiral staircase, Victorian style that gives you direct access to shared facilities and thus enjoy a good Speciality coffee along with a pleasant conversation with usual clients or the owners of Explore. The room have impressive ocean views where you can see unique sunsets either from the room or from the jacuzzi. The latter located in a large bathroom with stone and wood walls that give a rusticity but at the same time a unique elegance. The room has a fireplace and Adirondack chairs to enjoy your stay. The house is located in one of the most pristine and wild areas of the Island of Chiloe, 30 kilometers from Ancud the nearest city with no paved roads, in the middle of nature surrounded by the ocean rivers and native forests with ferns, bamboo, native flowers. The view of the sea allows you to see the sunset in a first-class setting level. There is a trail on the property that takes you to a beach covered with pebbles and on the way you can see ravines with small waterfalls, bromeliads and groves of ferns that shelter unique fauna of this place such as the Pudu deer, Kod-Kod Cat, Chucao, Coilarga , Darwin's Frog, among many others. 10 minutes away is the Puñihuil penguin colony where you can navigate between the islets to observe the nesting sites of these and other local birds. And if your stay is during the whale watching season, you can see them from your room or while you have breakfast at the Coffee Shop downstairs.
