Based on local tax laws, Chilean citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Chile) must pay an additional fee of 19%. To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA), tourist must present a copy of the immigration card, valid passport and pay with USD in cash. Please note both documents are required for fee exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the fee.
